Ombré

‘Ombré’ is French for ‘shade’ or ‘shadow’.

This technique dates back to 1840; where ombre effects were created by dyeing threads in textiles to create the look.

blending of one colour hue to another

In hairdressing the term is used to describe a progression of colour from the root transitioning mid-way down the hair to a different colour at the tip of the hair.

This look is fabulous when done well and correctly.

It takes experience!

It requires an accomplished stylist to undertake the colouring, a stylist who is fully trained in the skills required.
