#Hair&Beauty is the creation of two passionate creative people; Aaron Best and Abi Vickers.
As partners in life as well as now partners in business, this creative powerhouse came up with the concept and ethos that governs all we do at #Hair&Beauty.
We are a family and we wanted to extend that family feel out into the business world.
Aaron
Salon Director/Manager
Aaron Best set up the salon with his partner Abi Vickers after nearly 20 years in the Hair industry.
Aaron’s career started in a franchise salon background, training under a nationally recognised stylist and creative leader of his time. Following in his foot steps, Aaron took on his own salons in the franchise network and got involved in his own session work.
After leaving the franchise background, Aaron committed to working in the session side of the industry for a few years. Working alongside major product companies as a regional trainer for Matrix UK, and part of the first Fudge Professional UK artistic team. Working large projects such as the London Fashion week and national catwalk tours. Also working independently on Major fashion events at the NEC, front cover images for magazine publications both nationally and international, and with the BBC for a period drama maintaining the actors hair for continuity. Although enjoying this work, Aaron missed the creativity and atmosphere of a buzzing salon, and so #Hair&Beauty was born.
Specialisms include; event grade creative colour and cuts, making small or large changes to the hair to give a major impact.
Dani
Dani joined the salon a year into our journey and has proved herself to be a passionate, reliable and creative young lady with a keen eye for colour.
Like Aaron, Dani has a background in a large franchise group, and became disillusioned with the framework and ethos of these large companies. The pressure of targets and forced sales tactics did not sit well with her. With this we knew she would be a good fit with our mentality straight away.
Dani’s work speaks for itself as well as the numerous reviews and comments that come back into the salon praising her for her work and kind, energetic, bubbly personality.
Dani’s speciality is definitely her colour work. With exceptional knowledge of colour theory, Dani has already demonstrated at #Hair&Beauty an ability to create ultimate blondes, baby lights to give the most natural finishes as well as the more expressive bright and adventurous tones.
